Stacey Park Milbern

Stacey Park Milbern (1987–2020) was a visionary disability justice activist, writer, and community organizer. A queer, Korean-American disabled woman, she was a founding member of the disability justice movement and deeply committed to intersectional organizing.
Stacey believed in collective care, interdependence, and the radical power of disabled people — especially those living at the margins of race, class, and gender — to transform the world. Her work included advocating for access to healthcare, housing, and safety for people with disabilities, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She often spoke about the importance of honoring access needs, building coalitions, and resisting systems of oppression with creativity and compassion. Her life and work continue to inspire activists, artists, and advocates across the globe.
